Hey Pilgrims!
For those of you who are members of our Discord, you are well aware of my love of the podcast, “Not Another D&D Podcast”. A 5th Edition D&D actual play podcast, NADDPOD as it’s called, is an amazing podcast full of intrigue, suspense, and gut busting hilarity!
In one of the more recent arcs, Brennan Lee Mulligan, the DM of College Humor’s D&D show Dimension20, guest starred as “Deadeye”, an undead gunslinging elf living in the Shadowfell.
Obviously I had to know more.
After some digging, I soon found out that Brennan was playing a homebrewed race, by none other than Matt Mercer, called the Hollow Ones. Then, after quite a bit of googling and researching I realized that the race hadn’t been made available to the public just yet.
Therefore, in my excited haste, I decided to create my own version of it! Thus, the Decayed were born!
As an undead player option, there are obviously a few conditions that had to be met along with some potential issues with balancing to work with. As with all products, playtesting is a blessing and we ALWAYS look forward to getting feedback on out products! If you do happen to pick up the Decayed (currently Pay What You Want on DM’s Guild) please be sure to leave us feedback from your games!
